Pharrell contempla una pieza de arcilla de 100.000 dólares en Art Basel

Pharrell Williams mostró un gran interés en una obra de arcilla de $ 100,000 del dúo de artistas FriendsWithYou en Art Basel Miami.

Nos dijeron que el cantante de «Happy» se detuvo en el stand de GAVLAK durante el día de preestreno VIP del martes en el Centro de Convenciones de Miami Beach.

El artista de 49 años se presentó a la feria de arte anual con un conjunto completamente negro, gafas de sol brillantes y un sombrero.

“Estuvo allí durante aproximadamente una hora”, dijo una fuente de arte a Page Six. “Estaba tomando fotos y todo”.

La pieza de arcilla, titulada «Adventus», está enmarcada en plexiglás y muestra las palabras «océano» en la parte inferior.

The work also shows a small version of their 50-foot tall “Starchild” sculpture, which was erected in Miami during Art Basel.

The artwork aims to spread a message about light, power, and nature, according to a press release.

FriendsWithYou collaborators Samuel Borkson and Arturo Sandoval III shared a photo of Pharrell’s visit to their Instagram, writing “thank you p. Ocean forever.” 

Pharrell also shared several photos and videos featuring the piece to his Instagram Story.

Dozens of other celebrities also flocked to the VIP preview day, including Leonardo DiCaprio, who showed interest in a few edgy artworks.

Page Six exclusively reported that the “Titanic” star, 48, was we looking at a piece on Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and a painting of what appeared to be a kinky alien lap dance. 

             The singer was just one of many celebs that flocked to Art Basel Miami this year

“You know how some people lower their glasses when they’re inspecting art?” a spy said. “That’s what happens with Leo’s mask. It kept sliding down when he was looking at the work.”

Other stars at the fair included Martha Stewart, Amar’e Stoudemire, and Sylvester Stallone.
